Malibu Continues the tradition

Recently founded in 2006, the Malibu Rugby Club is a team that competes within a division of the Southern California Rugby Football Union (“SCRFU”). Within SCRFU, there are numerous divisions offering men’s and women’s rugby, from youth leagues, collegiate, and beginner divisions to the ultra-competitive Super league.

At the present, Malibu Rugby Club competes with 7 other Southern California teams in the Men’s Division III (“MDIII”) of SCRFU. MDIII provides opportunities for players with NO rugby experience as well as allowing seasoned veterans to play competitive rugby.

The international sport of rugby brings over 180 years of history that has been represented by well respected members of international communities world-wide for many generations. We have embraced this long standing history and the true meaning of the gentlemen’s sport and we look to pass this experience down for generations to come as our club continues to be represented by international members bringing cultural diversity and the rich tradition of the game to our Malibu community.

Our team members understand the importance of sharing with community by energizing and inspiring people to make a difference by participating on and off the field. Our team members give back to the community with a helping hand, from youth development programs to meeting the needs of the community by providing time, energy and a caring attitude through our community work and services, and teaching the local youth the true meaning of:
