Unlike the United States, many countries around the world have Rugby Programs which are a big part of
their culture beginning from a very young age. The foreign professional rugby leagues are as common as
our NBA, NFL and MLB. Many of these young men are currently some the best Club players within USA Rugby.
They have been instrumental in winning National Club Championships and raising the level of play within the Club.
These players typically come over to the States for a couple of years and usually head back to their home countries
eventually. SCRFU limits each club to only 5 players with foreign passports, allowing clubs the opportunities
to select some of the best amateur players around the world. Clubs typically are known to assist these
players in obtaining local housing and legal job opportunities |
